When an archaeologist brings to light strong evidence that the scepter from Tutankhamun actually exists, you and your team of fellow explorers decide its time to venture inside the famous pharaoh’s tomb and look for the artifact.

However, you soon realise that there was a reason for all the legends of curses and magic surrounding Tutankhamun’s rest place. There is something mysterious in the air, and every new clue will bring answers to the questions buried for thousands of years. Differently from games which define the minimum number of players for business cost reasons, The Lost Scepter of Tutankhamun really requires at least 3 people to be solved. This room can please families looking for a fun time together, beginners and experienced players alike.

Ultimate Roomscape: Pipeline – Red vs Blue [Review]

If you always wanted to be part of an episode of Crystal Maze, this “escape room” in Perth is probably the closest you can get in Australia. In fact, Pipeline – Red vs Blue at Ultimate is not an escape room per se, but an action race course in which two teams compete to see who finishes first.

We had the great opportunity of playing Pipeline – Red vs Blue with (actually, against) the Escape Room Hunters during our visit to Perth. Two teams, locked in identical rooms, with plenty of puzzles and physical challenges to overcome. What do you think happened?

Ultimate Roomscape: Viral Outbreak [Review]

You and your friends are attending a demonstration by Aerodyne, a world leading medical research facility which has potentially developed a cure for the EBL-01 viral strain. This lethal virus turns its victims into zombies, and Aerodyne claims to be able to revert the syntoms.

As you step into Viral Outbreak, you will probably remember “wait, I’ve never seen a story with zombies that ends well.” That’s right: before the human trials are presented, things get really out of hand – and you find out the trial had more selfish reasons than you expected! You have one hour to make your way out , and there is a dark, complicated path ahead!

Ultimate Roomscape: Kidnapped [Review]

The situation was no good. We were cuffed to the floor of a dark bathroom, kidnapped by a group known as ‘The Clowns’. It seemed like they were trying to use us as exchange for the release of their leader, but negotiations with the authorities went South and we were probably going to be killed on the spot – unless we found a way out.

At least that was the dark story behind Kidnapped on Ultimate Roomscape’s website. As the game developed, the plot changed drastically (we did not find information about the Clowns), but it became way, way creepier…
